βš”οΈ Getting Started

Well met, adventurer!

You're just a few steps away from never taking session notes by hand again.

Once you've invited me over to your server, you can use /hello or /help to see the setup instructions.

However, since you're here, let me tell you all you need to begin:

πŸ—ΊοΈ Step 1: Initialize Your Campaign

Use the command:

/campaign start

This sets up your campaign's archive so I know where your story begins.

πŸ§™β€β™€οΈ Step 2: Provide Context

Each player must run:

/pc create

Input their character name, class, as well as the player's Discord Username and a brief description of their background and appearance.

Then optionally:

You may also use the "Slash commands" to provide more context about the world, such as NPCs, locations, factions the party might interact with and more. The more I know about your game, the better my notes tend to be. For a full rundown on commands available, click here!

πŸŽ™οΈ Step 3: Start a Session

When everyone is in a voice channel and ready to begin the adventure:

That's it! With those commands, your tale is officially being chronicled.

πŸ“š But wait, there's more!

From worldbuilding tools to quest management, there's much more I can help you do.

Create NPCs, track locations, organize factions, and maintain an evolving campaign logβ€”all from within Discord. The more information you give me, the better notes I will create for your party!

You can also talk to me directly by tagging me in a channel I can post to with @chronicler

  • Ask me questions about your campaign. I'll keep track of everything for you!
  • Brainstorm new quests or characters
  • Write an ode to your favorite NPC.
  • Come up with character development ideas
  • Much more!

✨ Explore the full list of powers on the Slash Commands Reference page.

Until then, I'll be sharpening my quill.
